First the doctor then Kowloon

Saturday (yesterday) we went to see Robb's eye doctor. It has now been almost 2 weeks since his surgery. Robb has been in Hong Kong almost 4 weeks now, me almost 2.

Dr. Kwan says all is well. Robb can reduce his eye drops from 4 times a day to 2. The bubble now covers the bottom half of Robb's eye. Although he is not seeing much yet, he should see a dramatic difference when the bubble shrinks enough that the top 3/4 of his eye is clear. Dr. Kwan says it is fine for Robb to return to Nansha this coming week. Robb was working there when his vision went blurry, just before his surgery. We will go for just a few days, then return to HK for another visit to Dr. Kwan next Saturday.

We spent the afternoon in Kowloon, first at the Art Museum and then strolling the harbor. We learned about and really like Chinese painter Qi Baishi. Robb likes the gourds with morning glories. I like the pines and the children with kites.

It was a gray day... the days here come in shades of gray. Maybe that explains the love of neon light. Nothing much is open here before 11 am and the streets are always lively late into the night. Back on our street, night life was bright and merry.
